Case Study Proposal
After working in the commercial real estate Industry and the same company for 17 years, I decided the case study should be an opportunity to start looking at how other companies work. I was fortunately able to convince an IT manager at ASC (name changed for privacy) to allow me to do a case study on the Knowledge Management environment the company has adopted. ASC is a specialist in environmental, health and safety industry.While the contact has accepted the case study, the timing of the initial meeting must be postponed for a couple of weeks while he completes a couple of projects. Our first meeting is scheduled the week of July 5th.
My initial research into the company leads me to believe that as a service and technology company, they have adopted several concepts of knowledge management without necessarily knowing they have. Their stated focus is on identifying and solving environmental problems, allowing the client to get back to their business.
My education began in Geological Engineering and I enjoy the technical challenge that looking into something new will bring.
